We have always been focused on developing a sandbox, combat based, massively multiplayer game.  However, to get there we needed to reduce our initial scope and approach. So, we have rebuilt the project from ground up and we are very excited to bring you what we have been working on. We will be sure to keep this site updated as we meet our targets and progress closer to a full release!

The Story

ORBITING A DYING STAR IN A DISTANT

PART OF SPACE

Orbiting a dying star in a forgotten solar system, the red, iron rich planet of Malu teems with life. Near the equator, on one of the few land masses, lies a colossal pillar that ignites the sky with energy. Every living thing feeds from this in one form or another. Crystalline orbs grow in trees and brush to collect energy which gets consumed by the strange and exotic beasts that stalk the crimson plains and yet there is a small moon thats fills the skyline of Zeta a smaller less refined planet that was a staging group of development thousands of years ago.

 

The unknown race of beings that created Malu had used Zeta as a staging ground for the creatures and races that would inherit Malu as their own. Forced in combat to test each races capabilities and weakness the inhabitants of Zeta are at the will and mercy of the ones who control the strings. There experiments that took place utilized great power that would resonate and shift time and space and sometimes opening portals to different times.

Changing Persistent World

 

In real life, our world is anything but static. It is flowing, changing, and evolving by the caprices of our mind. In Origins, the plants will grow, people will build homes, and players will create factions. The world belongs to the players, but even in nature there are devices to maintain a balance.

 

Actions made by players will change the physical environment of the world, creating everlasting changes that continue to affect the world long after they were set in motion. Ambitious players can even control open areas on the world, building their own homes there for all to see or hidden deep in some forgotten lands.

No Class Restrictions

 

We did not want the traditional class system to constrain players, yet we still understand they have a purpose and a history. Origins of Malu is essentially a classless game where you can customize your character free of most limits.

 

You can dive into different specializations to tailor your character to meet your needs. Though if you crave the traditional class system, you can still build characters to fulfill certain roles and specialize in them to the full extent.

Open World Structure Systems

 

Ever find the perfect plot of land and want to build a house there? Lots of games would say no. But Origins of Malu gives you that chance within reason. A careful amount of time has gone into making sure we can provide players the ability to have an open world player housing system. Our system ensures the least amount of restrictions and provide the community with the tools to create their house the way they want to build it.

 

It doesn’t stop there though, in Origins of Malu you can build Guild cities and later turn them into factions. We have a lot of plans, but for the first release we can only do so much!

Power to the People (Player Controlled Factions)

 

Can you handle the power to create your own society? While a position of influence can bring prosperity and peace, power can also bring a volatile blend of discord and conflict among your people. Use it wisely as you create your own guild and join up with other guilds to create a larger faction.

 

These factions hold evolving territory so no server will be identical. For example, if a faction dominates a server for months, we will provide the tools for uprising. The success of your possible rebellion is up to you. Moreover, creating an uprising does not promise an easy life either. There will be no PVE or PVP servers. The fate of the server is in your hands.
